Structural modifications supporting new RoRo ramp installation on Western Rock

Introduction

To further enhance the vessel’s RoRo capabilities, Hartman Seatrade designed and implemented a new RoRo ramp system. As part of this project, DEKC Maritime was engaged to provide engineering support for several local structural modifications to the vessel required for the installation.

DEKC Maritime was responsible for the design of new mounting eyes for the tackle blocks on both port and starboard sides, modifications to the port-side entrance to accommodate the winch installation, and structural verification of these modified areas. We also prepared the associated production information for these modifications, including detailed drawings, cutting files and an updated general arrangement reflecting the new ramp configuration.

The project is an example of close cooperation between Hartman Seatrade and DEKC Maritime and demonstrates DEKC Maritime’s ability to provide practical and efficient engineering solutions for vessel modifications. By combining targeted structural engineering with production-ready documentation, we supported Hartman Seatrade in implementing the required modifications while ensuring that the new RoRo system could be safely integrated into the existing vessel structure.
