DEKC was responsible for the transport engineering of the transition pieces during barge transport from Antwerp to both Vlissingen and the Maasvlakte. Our scope included stability assessments, mooring analyses and the design of the sea-fastening arrangements required to secure the structures during transport. As multiple barges and transition piece configurations were considered, dedicated engineering was developed for each transport combination, ensuring that every configuration complied with the applicable stability and transport requirements.
